Sub Day P3/4M and P8/9M

  1. Journal Entry #1 for Book Thief --> 10 mins
  2. Fill out this form [click here]to submit your favorite one word theme for The Book Thief.  We will then vote, as a class, on which one is our favorite and it will become the theme for the chapbook (book of poetry) we will create as a class.  
    1. Anyone want to volunteer to draw the cover art once we've selected a theme? Email me! 
  3. Senior Projects: leave at 8:15 for 8:20 w/ Lily Johnston, Ella Russell, Chloe Hight. Stay for 8:40 with Hannah Schnyder.
  4. Return to class
Period 8/9M
  1. Give out exit tickets
  2. Go over the outline of Final Exam and Exam Rubric (links below)
  3. Read until 2:00 (If you need a break from reading, practice vocabulary on Quizlet--see link below)

  3. Get: 271-End of book HW (handout paper copy and available digitally on the right side of blog)
  4. Read for 20 mins
  5. Senior Projects: Sit with the substitute teacher and sit together please; no electronic devices :)
    1. P3/4M-->leave at 9:35 for Kasey Erlebach's 9:40 presentation, stay for Maggie Bescia/Marney Stivers until 10:20 & then return to room
    2. P8/9M-->leave at 1:25 for Ben Cushman's presentation (last one of the day).  Return to class at 1:50 and keep reading until the end of class. Use your time wisely.  
  6. Exit ticket pass in after you've view presentations (yes, your behavior at the presentation counts)

  1. Remember: end of book & questions are due NEXT class...there may be a quiz..."Mirror" poem we started last class will also be due.

    Macbeth Movie


    I can compare the answers to my guiding questions to the end of the film.  I can ask clarifying questions if I am unsure of the plot.  I can start to consider who which character I'd like to represent in a stump speech.
