Homework Grading Policy

You will be graded on a 1-4 scale on the following aspect(s) of your HW and in class participation. At the end of each quarter, the 1-4 will be converted to a 100 point scale and be reflected in the final quarter grade:

Preparedness

1: I rarely meet deadlines and established criteria with my work.

2: I sometimes meet deadlines and established criteria with my work.

3: I regularly meet deadlines and established criteria with my work

4: I always meet deadlines and established criteria with my work.

Engagement

1:I started the assignment, but I did not complete the assignment in a way which fully shows the connections I could make.

2: I participated in the work and have room to make stronger connections.

3: I take ownership of the work I am doing and demonstrate authenticity and thoroughness in my work.

4:I challenge myself with work that goes above and beyond.

Determination

1: I do not reflect on academic strengths and weaknesses and do not try new strategies to practice or improve.

2: With someone’s help, I can reflect on my academic weaknesses and strengths and how to practice and improve, but do not do this on my own.

3: I reflect on and understand my own academic strengths and weaknesses and actively attempt to find ways to practice and improve on them.

4: I reflect on and understand my own academic strengths and weaknesses and actively attempt to find ways to practice and improve on them.
