The Book Begins!

I can...practice participating in a group discussion.  This includes practicing listening skills, transitioning skills, and contributing my own ideas based on the class reading.

Today's agenda:

1. Put your HW 1-35 F451 in your digital name folder.
2. Circle up & choose your color dot!
3. Guidelines for today's participation:
1. Contribute your color question OR respond, using a transition, to someone else's question. 
2. Listen while others are speaking; this includes listening body language.
3. Have your book and notes out and available.

5. HW due in two classes: 36-70 reading and questions.

0: I did not participate in the conversation and/or I distracted others from the conversation.

1:I did not engage in the assignment in a way which fully shows the connections I could make. (1-0 contributions.)

2: I participated in the conversation and have room to make stronger connections. (1 contribution)

3: I take ownership of the conversation and demonstrate authenticity and thoroughness in my work.  (1-2 contributions)

4: I challenge myself in the conversation that goes above and beyond.  (2+ contributions)
