Today's goals:  I can get myself digitally organized & I can feel good about getting my feet wet with Shakespeare's Macbeth.

• Organize your digital folder for English
• Make a Q2 folder and put all Q2 in it
• Leave Q3 just in your name folder (less clicking for me!)
• Comma story should be the only piece in it
• Create a "Macbeth Journal" you'll use this unit as a new document
• First journal entry
• today's date (March 1 or March 2)  in corner
• Topics 
• "How to read Shakespeare" article--read as a group and do post-reading T/F list

I can identify what an appositive is and I will know how to use commas with it.  I can use parenthetical expressions to interrupt thoughts in a sentence.

2. Write a sentence with a non-essential word, phrase, or clause.
2. Pass in your Comma Stories to your digital name folder.
3. Old assignments passed back.
4. Activity: Commas with appositives

Commas, Day #1

I can...articulate the difference between commas being used to avoid confusion, commas in a series, commas used in dates/addresses, and commas used to separate adjectives (coordinate adjectives).  I will also be able to tell you what a coordinate adjective is in my exit slip.
